Summer Collection: payable July 1, though September 14, without penalty or interest. Beginning September 15 through September 30, a 1% interest charge will be added. An additional 1% per month will be added on the first of each month to the unpaid balance until March 1. Winter Collection: payable December 1, through February 14, without penalty or interest. Beginning March 1all unpaid taxes must be paid to the Washtenaw County Treasurer. Failure to receive a tax bill does not waive penalty.Deferments: senior citizens, veterans and farmers may be eligible for deferrals. Applications for deferments are available in the Treasurer's Office during regular business hours and must be returned by September 15. All dog licenses must be purchased through the Washtenaw County Treasurer's Office, 200 N. Main St., Ste 200, PO Box 8645, Ann Arbor, MI 48107-8645. Applications are available on-line at http://dogs.ewashtenaw.org and may be faxed (734) 222-6632 or scanned. For further information, please call the County Treasurer's office at (734) 222-6600. Fees are as followed: UN-neutered or UN-spayed dog are $24.00 for one year, $72.00 for 3 years; neutered or spayed dog are $12.00 for one year and $36.00 for 3 years. Online Property Tax Payment Information Brenda McKinney, Township Treasurer, has initiated an online tax payment program to provide ease of payment for busy taxpayers. Beginning July 1 with the Summer school tax collection, Township residents can pay their property taxes online with their credit cards, check or savings accounts. Tax Seasons Summer or Winter Online payments can only be applied to Summer bills until September 14th and Winter bills until February 14. Beginning March 1 make all payments directly to the Washtenaw County Treasurer. Do not process online payments after 4:30 p.m. on the last day of February. The Bill Payment Server will inform online users of the fee for credit card use, no fee is charged for checking or savings account use. Taxpayers can log on, set up an account, establish a PIN, and have their taxes deducted from whichever bank account they designate. Tax Receipt: Taxpayers will receive a payment confirmation number
